Club Stuff...
After a long wait and lots of non-retuned phone calls from a variety of suppliers, the SCSC t-shirts are nearly ready (nearly meaning in the next 4 - 6 weeks!). Hopefully you've viewed the very funky long sleeved t-shirts in the last newsletter and are gagging to get your hands on one or more. Remember your poor old granny may be getting cold this time of year and could do with a hip new spencer for under her nightie. Before we order them we need to get an idea of who wants what. Can you please email Simon at simonh@ideaworks.com.au or phone on (02) 9909 4628 and let him know how many you want and a what size (S, M, L, XL). At this stage we think the price will be $25 each, top quality, cool design.
The Blue Mountains run is looming (July 7&8) and we have had a great response from members and friends. Beds are beginning to disappear quick smart so if you want to come once again contact Simon through the email or phone number above. If you haven't been before this is a great ride to Katoomba followed by some great beers.
Lastly, we need to make the club a little
more 'official' and try and raise some funds for functions and payment of things like
badges etc (which Paul is still out of pocket for). The plan is to continue the annual
membership fee which would be:
- $15 per year for existing members
- $20 per year for new members
As a new member you receive a high quality two tone SCSC badge and the ultra cool status
of being able to wear it around town! We plan to produce new laminated membership cards
indicating the year of your membership, looking like June 2001 to June 2002. So at the
next meeting if you could be prepared to part with some of your hard earned cash we will
swap you for a membership card, if you can't make it to the meeting again please contact
Simon on the details above and let him know you're still keen and we'll sort out the
financials.
